- Conduct an experiment with a high-school degree of difficulty (proposals will need to be sent in and approved by the officers)

- Write a short 1-page double-spaced lab report sharing your findings
- Project can be presented at a meeting for 1 extra point
- Scientific Fun Facts: 1 Point Each (Max of 3 Points)
- Go outside, take a picture of a natural occurrence, and explain a scientific fun fact to go with it
- Book Report: 3 Points
- Read a science-related book (must be approved by the officers)
- Write a SHORT one page double-spaced review
- Include a favorite chapter or passage and why
- Scientific Documentary or Article/Paper: 1 Point Each (Max of 3 Points)
- Watch a documentary or read a scientific article/paper about a new innovation or topic of interest
- Explain its significance, its relation to current events, or how the innovation/knowledge could be used to further science
- Create a Science TikTok (may be shown at meetings or reposted to the SNHS Instagram account): 1 Point Each (Max of 3 points)
- Create a Song Parody About a Scientific Topic: 1 Point per Minute (Max of 3 Points)
- You must submit the song choice, parody lyrics, and audio of your performance
- Song can be performed LIVE at a meeting for 1 extra point
- Travel Bingo Card or Scientific Processes Bingo Card: Points Vary (based on the bingo card and its instructions)

- Spring Field Trip: Join us on an aquarium trip on Thursday, March 7 for 4 points!

Point Requirements for Juniors and Seniors
For the 2023-2024 school year, students must have a 15 points by the end of the first semester and 15 points by the second semester.
If you are missing points at the end of first semester, you can make up for them second semester but you must double the amount that you were missing.
For example, if you turned in 5 points in first semester (meaning you were lacking 10 points), you must turn in 20 points for the missing first semester points. You must also turn in the required points for second semester (15 points) for a total of 35 points more.
